The Black Ship The Black Ship
Malphas

Part grimoire and part manifesto, The Black Ship presents the vision of the Pandemonium Mandala, teaches the lore of the emergent Daemonic race and is the blueprint for a culture based on Left-Hand Path principles. It begins with such basics as the invocation of the personal Daemon and new ways of consecrating working tools and personal space before exploring work with Ancestral spirits, the Mysteries of the Lesser and Greater Sabbats, the Sacrament of the Royal Blood of Chaos and the techniques of Transmogrification.

It then explores the Daemonic rationale underlying new conceptions of politics, law and the evolutionary implications of space migration. Finally, The Black Ship concludes with a Chaosmological vision of this universe that both relates to and differs from ancient Gnostic teachings, with some new elements that may surprise.

Death Gods

Death Gods
By Ernest L. Abel

In cultures throughout human history people have believed that some part of themselves continued to exist after they died. Part of that belief is that living can influence what happens to the dead in the afterlife, and the dead can return from the afterlife to affect the living. Death Gods: An Encyclopedia of the Rulers, Evil Spirits, and Geographies of the Dead describes the many ways the afterlife especially that part of the afterlife commonly known as Hell has been characterized in myths from around the world. The hundreds of entries provide readers with a guide to the afterlife as portrayed in these myths - its geography, its rulers, its inhabitants, how they got there, and what happens after their arrival. While the Devil is a prominent resident and ruler of the afterworld in many religions, especially Christianity, this book examines many other versions of Hell whether presided over by the Devil, Hades, or one of the many other rulers of the dead. Death Gods provides concise encyclopedic entries on all aspects of the mythology of the afterlife: The underworlds form the myths of cultures from across the globe

A Field Guide to Demons, Fairies, Fallen Angels and Other Subversive Spirits
by Carol K. Mack

A Field Guide to Demons This is a great reference work: useful, accessible and well organized. The demons, fairies and other mythical beings featured in this book were taken from the legends and folklore of several cultures and they are grouped according to their place of residence: water, mountain, forest, desert, domicile and psyche. Each chapter includes a short description of the creature's appearance, habits and preferences; one of two stories of encounters with it; and a section on disarming and dispelling techniques. This guide includes some fascinating creatures, such as the Japanese Kappa and its surprising eating habits, the helpful and friendly Norwegian Nisse, the extremely fragile Australian Mimi, and the Chinese Madame White, who gives a whole new meaning to the expression femme fatale. Some better known beings like mermaids and werewolves are also featured. The Macks' writing style is clear and engaging, sometimes tongue-in-cheek but never disrespectful to other cultures. The detailed information on how to deal with these creatures is particularly useful; if you ever encounter any of them you'll know what to do to be able to tell the tale.

Dark Archetype
Denise Dumars

Dark Archetype This book deals with those things that many of us do not have to face on a regular basis, including issues such as death, anger, pain, fear, illness-and yes, even sex. It explores these concerns by focusing on the magick and mystery of goddesses such as Kali, Hekate, Sekhmet, and Lilith; and gods such as Set, Loki, Dionysos, and Shiva-deities who have not been given their just due because of their less than desirable sides. The authors guide you through the world of darkness, unleashing the history and myth associated with each archetype. Also, they share field-tested rituals and spellwork that allow you to further work with the shadow side and understand the benefit of the energies you find there. It is important to acknowledge what happens in the darkness and the power it unleashes for what it is-a reaffirmation of life and, yes, the light.

Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic
Thomas Karlsson

Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic Academically rigorous, yet a refreshing, practical insight into the dark side of Qabalism. Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic is definitely a suitable work for the serious scholar and the occult practicioner alike. Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic is a unique practical introduction to magic. The main thread of the book is the exploration of the Qliphoth and the dark mysteries which have for so long been a repressed part of western esotericism. Instead of ignoring and denying the dark side, the author reveals, step by step, how man can get to know his Shadow and, through this, reach a deeper knowledge of the Self. By exploring and not by repressing the Shadow it can be transformed from a destructive force into a creative power. The book deals with the problem of evil, the symbolism behind the fall of Lucifer and man s creation process according to Qabalistic philosophy. The theories that are presented in this book are also linked to practice. Several examples of rituals, meditations, magical exercises and occult correspondences can be found within. Qabalah, Qliphoth and Goetic Magic contains more than one hundred demonic sigils and pieces of art that were created specifically for this book. A unique collection of all the sigils from the classic grimoires Lemegeton: The Lesser Key of Solomon and the infamous Grimorium Verum are also included.

The Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology
Rosemary Ellen Guiley

The Encyclopedia of Demons and Demonology The conflict between good and evil can be found in every culture, mythical tradition, and religion throughout history.
