A Treatise On Vengeance

Vengeance, as an act of retribution is a natural act of justice. We all seek to have this justice returned to us, because this is in our nature. Indeed, it is the nature of the universe to create an equal and opposite reaction. Much time is spent in many religious beliefs, trying to dissuade people from taking vengeance. They make vengeance a sin, an evil. Then, many religions convince their followers to forgive, to turn the other cheek in kindness. Although this creates a superior stance, it is hardly satisfying. Continual forgiveness erodes the self-esteem and buries us in resentment. To avoid these feelings, and to take control of your life, realize this. It is not wrong to stand up for your own personal conviction.

Your Personal Limits

Satanism is certainly not about forgiveness; it is about taking action when you are wronged. The best way, is not through physical means but to use magick, or some kind of destruction ritual. Magick is a great way to influence your life and to manifest your desires. Retribution is yours to bring forth and to command into action. Being able to right what has been wronged on you, can bring much personal gain, pleasure and satisfaction. Your life is not an empty shell for others to fill and create. In the satanic mind, the only master is the self. As the master of your actions, you must decide what is right or wrong for you. Some, sadly would rather not take this kind of personal responsibility for their self benefit, and choose to forgive.

The Reaction of Justice

Justice is an energy, it can be likened to a reaction. Justice does not decide what is right or wrong, it just perfrorms the action. The action of justice brings the process of judgement, and the cycle is complete. In the rider-waite Tarot there is a justice card, and in this card the figure holds the scales of judgment, and a sword. The traditional, esoteric meaning of this card is the sign of Libra, and the Egyptian Goddess of Karma, Maat, who weighs the heart against a feather. This figure that Justice is based on, describes the duty of justice as a force between judgment and action. Justice deliberates the sentence and brings closure to an issue, allowing you to move on. Forgiveness can build resentment, and by satisfying your need to bring justice you are letting go of this resentment and replacing it with satisfaction.

It is said: "Hate your enemies with a whole heart, and if a man smite you on one cheek smash him on the other..."(1) And further instruction is revealed with this passage: "Give blow for blow, scorn for scorn doom for doom. With compound interest liberally added thereunto!..make yourself a terror unto your adversary, and when he goeth his way, he will posses much additional wisdom to ruminate over. Thus you shall make yourself respected and your spirit, your Immortal Spirit shall live..Not in an intangible paradise, but in the brains and sinews of those whose respect you have gained."(2)

Why not channel this negative energy into a destruction ritual. Spend time sending and channeling that energy into the possibility of their undoing and destruction. There are many rituals and devices for cursing someone. You could make a poppet, draw an image of their destruction, write a story of their demise- This is the premise of black magick. Many, many things can not be proved when it comes to magick,it is impossible. A magician uses the forces of chaos to cause upheaval in an enemies life. There are many subtle underlying influences surrounding the situation that can be manipulated, to wreak havoc in an enemies life (using magick).

Some examples of this kind of chaos is sickness, loss of a job, breakup, bad luck, money loss, bad decisions made. Even death could occur through things like a car accident, freak incidents, but i dare say no more. You might not even have to expend much power if the other person is neurotic and afraid of such things as curses. It depends on your willpower as a magician, and your Satanic belief in your superiority of self.
