Accountant (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team in a hands-on role supporting cost accounting and core financial operations within a manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for an early-career accounting professional with 13 years of experience who is looking to strengthen their foundation in manufacturing accounting, develop technical expertise, and grow within a stable, expanding organization.

This is an execution-focused role centered on cost analysis, reporting, and process improvement not high-level strategy or people management.

What You'll Do
  • Collect, analyze, and report on costs related to raw materials, labor, inventory, and production activities
  • Prepare standard vs. actual cost reports and perform variance analysis
  • Support cost accounting tied to product design changes, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Review purchase orders, contracts, and vouchers for accuracy
  • Ensure proper classification and documentation of financial transactions
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Assist with reserves, asset tracking, and expenditure reporting
  • Recommend practical improvements to accounting and cost control procedures
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and manufacturing teams
What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

13 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred but not required)

Working knowledge of basic cost accounting principles

Experience using ERP systems and Excel

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred (Not Required)

Exposure to commercial or industrial manufacturing environments

Familiarity with GAAP and internal controls

Compensation & Growth

This position offers a salary of $60,000 annually, along with strong benefits and long-term growth potential. We are looking for someone who wants to build their manufacturing accounting expertise, take on increasing responsibility over time, and grow into a more senior accounting role as the company continues to expand.
