Job Title: Board Member — Technology, Fundraising & Strategic Development Location: Remote Duration: Initial term of one year, with potential for renewal Compensation: Equity-based Overview Paramount Students by Plentora, an innovative edtech startup simplifying student recruitment, is seeking a highly experienced and well-connected professional to join our board of directors. This role will focus on both fundraising and technology strategy, helping us secure working capital while also enhancing our technical capabilities , including accessing AWS credits and optimizing our infrastructure. As a non-executive board member or advisor , you will play a key role in shaping our financial and technical roadmap, ensuring we scale effectively while maintaining a cutting-edge technology foundation. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence a rapidly growing company committed to revolutionizing global higher education. Compensation for this role will be equity-based. Responsibilities Fundraising & Strategic Growth Provide strategic guidance on fundraising initiatives to secure working capital. Leverage professional networks to connect Paramount Students with potential investors, funding opportunities, and strategic partners. Assist in preparing investor materials, including pitch decks and financial projections. Monitor financial milestones and provide insights on overcoming potential challenges. Technology & Infrastructure Advise on technology strategy and infrastructure to ensure scalability and security. Support the company in securing AWS credits and other cloud infrastructure benefits. Guide the team on cloud architecture optimization, cost efficiency, and system reliability. Leverage technical expertise to help strengthen Paramount Students’ platform capabilities. General Advisory & Oversight Participate in quarterly board meetings and additional strategic discussions as needed. Collaborate with the executive team to refine business and technical strategies. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners. Uphold and promote the company’s mission and commitment to transforming student recruitment. Qualifications Proven experience in fundraising, investment, or financial strategy, preferably within the edtech or startup ecosystem . Technical expertise in cloud computing (AWS preferred), SaaS infrastructure, or platform scaling. Strong network of contacts within the investment community, including venture capitalists, angel investors, and institutional investors. Experience securing AWS credits or working with startup accelerator programs for tech support. Excellent financial planning, budgeting, and strategic problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels. Prior experience as a board member, advisor, or non-executive director in a tech-focused startup is highly desirable.
