Job Description

Do you bring bold creative vision to life while keeping brands consistent, aligned, and unmistakable? Are you a senior designer who loves being hands-on and knows how to lead a team with clarity and confidence?

We’re looking for a Creative Manager who pairs senior-level design expertise with strong leadership, organization, and project management. This role is intentionally split 50% hands-on design and 50% creative leadership —ideal for someone who wants to stay close to the work while guiding and growing a talented creative team.

This is not a hands-off management role and not a junior design position. We’re looking for a strong senior designer who can lead, coach, execute, and elevate the work.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead all creative projects from concept through production across print, digital, photography, videography, illustration, and related assets
  • Manage daily creative operations including workflow, priorities, coordination, and delegation
  • Actively contribute as a hands-on senior designer, personally producing high-impact marketing and brand design
  • Perform first-round reviews on all creative work, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand integrity while providing clear, constructive feedback
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce brand standards across digital, print, environmental graphics, vehicle graphics, and tradeshow materials
  • Build a collaborative, high-performing creative culture through regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, hiring, and training
  • Partner closely with the Director of Marketing and collaborate cross-functionally to bring ideas to life
  • Confidently advocate for strong design decisions while remaining open to feedback
  • Manage vendor relationships, including print bidding, press checks, and final production (travel may be required)
  • Ensure proper organization and management of digital assets using structured file systems or DAM tools

50% Hands-On Design / 50% Creative Management

Candidates must be comfortable and excited to do both.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional design experience in a marketing or brand-focused environment
  • Senior-level graphic design skills across digital and print
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • High attention to detail with excellent proofreading and accuracy
  • Comfortable delivering clear, detailed, and actionable creative feedback
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and confidence working in a Mac environment
  • Digital portfolio showcasing marketing-focused design work

Nice-to-Have

  • 1–2 years of experience leading or managing designers
  • Open to strong candidates stepping into their first formal management role
  • Photography, videography, or visual content experience

Not a Fit If You…

  • Want to manage but not design
  • Have a portfolio focused only on illustration or logos
  • Do not have a digital portfolio

Workload Expectations

  • Approximately 40 active creative tickets across the team
  • The Creative Manager personally handles ~10 tickets at a time
  • Mix of:
  • Short-turn projects (as quick as 2 days)
  • Long-term initiatives (up to 6 months)

Tools & Environment

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Project management tools such as Asana or Monday
  • Strong file management and proofing experience required
  • Experience working with a DAM or structured Dropbox-style workflows

Why This Role

We’re looking for a Creative Manager who brings positivity, resilience, and a “there’s always a way” mindset to every project. If problem-solving fuels you, obstacles spark your creativity, and you’re motivated by elevating both the work and the people around you, you’ll thrive here.

You won’t just complete tasks—you’ll help shape the brand, strengthen the team, and raise the creative bar every day.
