The Dog Daycare Group Leader is responsible for supervising groups of dogs in a daycare setting to ensure safe, structured, and engaging play. This role requires close attention to canine behavior, strong animal-handling skills, and the ability to maintain a calm, positive environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise dogs during group play, ensuring safety at all times
• Monitor canine body language and behavior to prevent conflicts
• Facilitate appropriate, fun, and controlled play activities
• Intervene quickly and calmly to redirect unsafe behavior
• Separate dogs when necessary based on size, temperament, or energy level
• Perform head counts and maintain awareness of each dog’s location and condition
• Follow all facility safety protocols and handling procedures
• Maintain clean and orderly play areas
• Communicate observations or concerns about dog behavior or health to supervisors
• Assist with feeding, rest periods, and basic care as assigned

Qualifications

• Genuine love for dogs and experience working with multiple dogs at once
• Ability to recognize signs of stress, overstimulation, or aggression in dogs
• Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and energy levels
• Reliable, attentive, and able to multitask in a fast‐paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Prior experience in dog daycare, kennel, boarding, grooming, veterinary, or animal care preferred (but not required)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
• Ability to lift and handle dogs of all sizes.
• Comfort working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to react quickly to ensure dog and employee safety

Schedule

• Flexible availability including weekends and holidays may be required
• Full‐time and Part‐time positions available

Work Environment

• Fast‐paced, high‐energy animal care environment
• Continuous interaction with dogs and team members
