Summary of Duties As a Family Time Coordinator, you will: Implement the individual visitation agreement by meeting with the case worker, client and care giver. Gather information from case providers, clients, their family members, schools and other resources to plan visits, including the schedule, location, supervision level and safety plan. Assure the safety and wellbeing of children during the visit and during transportation. Transport children from substitute care placement to the visitation site. May transport children inter- or intrastate for permanent foster care, guardianship, pre-adoptive home visits or to return children to the State with legal jurisdiction. Support emotional needs of the child by explaining the purpose of the transport and answering the child’s questions. Keep accurate observations and supervision notes and document these notes in OR-Kids. Prepare notes for court testimony. SSA notes can be subpoenaed and SSA may be required to testify at court hearings. Minimum Qualifications One year of experience working in a human services or behavioral health setting; OR An associate degree in any field; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Attributes We are looking for candidates with: Experienced in accurately documenting client interactions, case notes, and service outcomes, as well as presenting clear verbal summaries to colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to inform case planning and decision-making. Experience mentoring and engaging with families to identify and implement strategies for successful client engagement. Experience using trauma-informed practices that are responsive to the child and family’s language, race, and culture. Experience establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community partners, including schools, mental health providers, healthcare organizations, and social service agencies, to coordinate comprehensive support for children and families. Working Conditions Your work schedule will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday Pacific Standard Time (PST). Occasional overtime may be available. This is understood to mean that the hours of work may vary and could include evenings and weekends under certain circumstances. This position is assigned to the Store Front Office and community including client homes. The office is constructed of cubicles, so work is often interrupted, and noise levels are sometimes high. This position may be on the phone regularly or process work electronically. Work schedule specifics will be determined by the hiring supervisor. Travel may be required to meet business needs or to attend employee training classes. Transportation and supervision of visitation may involve lifting and carrying younger children, car seats, diaper bags, or other items. Transportation may involve driving at various times of day or night, various locations, various vehicle types and various weather conditions. Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to use state vehicles. Reasonable accommodation per the ADA or creative solutions in certain cases may be used to meet this need. This position requires a good attendance pattern and appropriate use of accrued paid leave to ensure workload coverage for vacations and other leaves, as well as acceptable customer service for the Oregonians we serve.
