Fitter/TailorWe are looking for a dynamic professional Fitter/Tailor, distinguished by their charisma, technical prowess, and professional integrity. This role will include fittings, sewing on the machine, building client relationships and supporting the tailor shop manager. This is a full time role in New York City, Brooklyn, Long Island, Hoboken, NJ and Greenwich,CT with salary, full benefits, and opportunities for future growth.ResponsibilitiesMaintain a professional, warm, welcoming studio environmentConduct Fittings according to the Alteration Specialists StandardBuild relationships with clients, influencers, brands and stylistsMake every client feel welcome, and confident in the skills of you and your teamDemonstrate that you are meeting personal production targetsCultivate proficiency with mens, womens, and bridal alterations as well as alterations of difficult fabricsConstantly be evaluating processes that are not efficient and come up with solutions to better optimize our organizationInform front desk of all re-alterationsKeep track of and scan your production during the day and communicate with front desk to confirm accuracyAttributesYou are a skilled communicator. You take ownership over your work, ask for help when you need it, and are committed to your own growth and development.Experience7-10 years of alteration tailoring experience required2-3 years of general fitting experience required1 year of fitting both men's and women's garments requiredProficiency in English requiredAs the Fitter/Tailor for an Alts team, you would play an integral role in creating a welcoming and professional environment that has a profound impact on some of the most important events and days in a client's life. You would establish rewarding relationships with the studio's clientele and partner community, and serve as an expert talent for any alteration jobs that walk into the studio.
