Overview HighTech Bound is a paid four to six-week summer program at The University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) designed for students entering their senior year of high school. The program provides an opportunity for ambitious high school students to experience software development in a real-world environment. You will work in a computer lab with dedicated mentors who will guide you through the summer, collaborating on a team to create a solution for an assigned project. You will use the latest technologies in software and hardware projects that are used in well-known companies and have the opportunity to research solutions that contribute to a tech project that will be used for years. Responsibilities Take part in a hands-on experience to complete an assigned project Develop real-world technical skills Work with technology used in smart cars, internet devices, and more Problem solve with new technologies Prepare for an education in the technology field Opportunities for employment after the program Earn .5 high school credit through Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) Minimum Education & Experience Entering senior year of high school Available to work 40 hours/week during summer Must pass a pre-employment background check Applicant Instructions Applicants should be prepared to upload the following documents when applying online within the My Experience: Resume/CV section of the application: (Maximum of 5 Documents) Resume/CV Compensation $11.50 /hour Funding and Employment Terms Please be advised that this position is supported by external sponsor funding.
