Expedient is looking to hire a paid intern to join our Human Resources Team beginning in May.  There will be a higher volume of hours during the summer months with flexibility to accommodate your academic schedule as the fall semester begins.  This part-time position will work collaboratively with each member of the team and assist with a variety of tasks in HR with a focus on recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement and other general HR related activities.  

 
This role is perfect for someone excited about the opportunity to experience hands-on learning in a fast-paced, dynamic HR environment.  

 
The internship will be located on-site 3 days a week during the summer in our Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, North Shore office but remote work may be available as project work presents itself.  This internship is reserved for juniors, seniors or recent graduates. Hourly rate of pay for this role is $17/hour for 24 hours per week and will extend into fall 2026 with flexibility in scheduling as needed.  

 
Responsibilities: 

  • Assist members of the Human Resources team with administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs for personnel. 

  • Assist recruiting team with various efforts including job posting, candidate searches, interviews and onboarding processes. 

  • Attend and collaborate in weekly team meetings 

  • Assist in coordinating sustainability, wellness and corporate events 

  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives 

Requirements: 

  • Must be studying or a graduate of a program focused on Human Resources, Business Administration or similar discipline 

  • Junior, Senior and recent graduates will be considered 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher 

  • Successfully fulfill pre-employment background checks and applicable screens 

  • Availability to work flexible hours and days of the week 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software 

  • Ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow through skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
