Job Summary

A growing organization in the banking and consumer lending industry is seeking a Junior Accountant for a contract/temporary opportunity in San Juan, PR. This role is a strong fit for an entry-level accounting professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who is ready to gain hands-on experience in financial transactions, account reconciliations, reporting, and daily accounting operations.

The Junior Accountant will work in a structured, professional finance environment where accuracy, confidentiality, teamwork, and dependable service are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions accurately, including verifying, sorting, calculating, posting, and recording accounting data.
- Assist with account reconciliations, including general and subsidiary bank accounts, by gathering, balancing, and reviewing financial information.
- Prepare invoices, bank deposits, financial reports, account status updates, and special reports for management review.
- Review accounting data and system records to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and support accurate ledger posting.
- Maintain accounting records in compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable financial requirements.
- Protect confidential financial information through proper record retention, classification, database backups, and secure handling of sensitive data.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $14.50 per hour.
- Location: San Juan, PR.
