What you’ll be doing Lead mine planning and design activities, delivering accurate short and long‑term surface mine plans using CAD tools Oversee drill and blast design, optimising fragmentation, safety and production outcomes Conduct pit mapping, geotechnical monitoring and slope stability assessments to support safe operations Act as a technical point of contact on site, supporting production teams and stepping into supervisory duties when required What you’ll bring Proven experience in surface mining operations, with hands‑on exposure to planning and drill & blast Strong understanding of pit design, geotechnical considerations and production optimisation Degree in mining engineering, geology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience Ability to influence site teams, with strong analytical thinking and confidence operating in demanding environments Who this suits You’re a technically strong mining professional who enjoys being close to operations and making decisions that directly impact performance.
