Schedule Performances: January14,16,17 (14 & 16 at 7 PM; 17 at 2 PM) Rehearsals: January9,12,13 Sitzprobe: December (dependent on musician availability) Instrumentation Needed Bass Guitar Keyboard Synth Drums General Job Description Under the general supervision of the high school principal or designee, musicians will prepare the music in the provided book at a professional level. Musicians must attend pit orchestra rehearsals and performances as scheduled. Essential Functions Perform the assigned music at a professional level. Be prepared for each rehearsal. Attend performances and rehearsals. Communicate timely with the pit orchestra director. Exhibit patience and flexibility during the rehearsal process. Ensure conduct conforms to the school's standards and district policies. Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned by the principal or designee. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Professional-level proficiency on the assigned instrument. Qualifications Profile NJ Certification as a Teacher. Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an education discipline. Experience Prior pit orchestra or musical experience preferred. Salary Pending budgetary approval and NBEA contract negotiations. District hourly rate according to the NBEA negotiated contract, not to exceed 40 hours (including rehearsals and performances).
