We are currently seeking a qualified Part Time Non Credit Medical Billing & Coding Instructor for the upcoming Summer 2026 semester in the SUNY Orange Plus Department. Requirements Education Required - Certified Medical Biller & Coder. Experience Required Minimum of two (2) years of relevant billing and coding experience. Knowledge of Registration, Pre-certification, Insurance Verification, Inpatient, Outpatient & Physician Services and legal aspect. Understanding of billing requirements of third party carriers such as Medicare, Medicaid, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Commercial, Worker's Compensation and No Fault (Outpatient/Physicians Services). Understanding of CPT Coding system and HSPCS Level Coding. Knowledge of how to complete CMS 1500 form and UB04 Form. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics Prior teaching experience. American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) teaching certification.
